Another Hot off the Press! Opportunities for teachers to support Gifted Maori Education

An exciting opportunity is being offered by GiftEDnz in support of Maori Gifted & Talented Learners. A special interest group and sub committee has been set up to focus upon this special group.  If you are not already a member of GiftEDnz (and I think you should be!) then you won't have heard about it.

"We know that communities, schools, teachers, whanau and students are doing amazing things for Māori gifted learners.  We want to support a range of groups, individuals, whanau, students, to be involved in producing resources specifically relating to gifted and talented Māori learners.

"giftEDnz is committed to empowering people to share their inspiring stories, anecdotes, resources and ideas practitioners in the field have developed when working with gifted Māori learners.

"We invite any interested parties to submit an expression of interest (EOI), to have opportunity and be supported to turn good ideas into a resource/s to share with others. Please see the link ... to submit your EOI:   http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/pumanawa

"Important dates to remember
·         19 November EOIs are due
·         27-29 November letters of notification will be sent
If you require further information and feel you need help to complete the expression of interest please contact Leeana Herewini by emailing leeana@waikato.ac.nz.

To become involved in this, you need to be a member of GiftEDnz.  For membership information, go to: http://www.giftednz.org.nz/
